LO2 Setting up equipment

There were numerous ways that we followed health and safety rules such as conducting a risk assessment and considering some of the potential hazards we might encounter while filming. Other health and safety concerns we considered while filming included the equipment we would be utilising, which may be dangerous, and our surroundings. The reason for this is that depending on where we film, the camera and tripod may be situated on uneven terrain or in the way of other persons who are also filming. We were aware of this because we had already completed a risk assessment, so one of the things we did was make sure that the equipment we weren't using was out of the way and that we were always aware of our surroundings and where everything was located. Another way we dealt with potential hazards in our environment while filming was to scout the scene ahead of time to make sure there wasn't anything we could trip over or something that could fall on us. If there were too many risks of someone being injured during filming, we would search an other location that would be safer instead.

We concluded there were specific types of equipment we needed to employ during filming. A camera, tripod, and microphone are included. This is accomplished by first attaching the microphone to the camera, which improves the audio quality. This is accomplished by inserting the microphone cable into the camera's side and then attaching the microphone to the camera's top. Once this was completed, we needed to use the tripod to keep the camera stable while recording.  By mounting the camera on a tripod, we will be able to capture the movies while remaining steady, allowing the camera to focus on us more readily. This will improve the overall quality of our film's sound and appearance once it is completed. To do so, start by adjusting the tripod's height by moving the legs to the correct height for filming. After you've completed this and the tripod is stable by putting the clips into place on the legs, you may place the camera on top of the tripod to keep it stable. This can be accomplished by putting an attachment on the bottom of the camera that allows the camera to slide onto the tripod. After that, tighten it up enough that the camera doesn't move or fall off when it's attached to the tripod. Finally, we chose to add an additional microphone cover since this will improve the overall sound quality of the video while we're filming, making it easier for people to hear us and so improving the overall quality of the film.

Lighting was another piece of equipment that we were considering using (depending on the filming location). If we employ lighting, the lighting quality in the short film will be significantly improved. The best method to do this is to choose the style of lighting you want to employ, such as soft box lighting. This can help you achieve lighting balance, ensuring that the area you're filming is evenly lighted. To do so, you must first choose the height at which you want the lighting to be placed in order to get this effect. After that, you may either tilt the soft box lighting to where you need it or establish a three-point lighting system.
