LO3 Audio Editing
There is a lot of editing to be done for the videos and the sound that plays in the background when editing the short film. This means that the audio in each clip must be loud enough for the audience to hear it properly. This can be accomplished by increasing the volume of all background noise and speech in Premier Pro, making it easier for listeners to hear what is being spoken. The first video showing the location is an example.Because they lack communication, having loud noises of birds or anything else would be pointless, as people would be uninterested. This meant that the audio for these two scenes could either be muted, resulting in silence at the start of the short film, or greatly turned down, resulting in some sounds. Following some editing, it was determined that the videos should include audio to better establish what the environment is like surrounding where Beverly Allitt is being held, as well as to make it simpler for people to speak because there would be less background noise.
When the films of us talking begin to play, extra audio settings must be adjusted to ensure that they are not too quiet or too loud for the audience. This was accomplished by selecting every individual video and then selecting the audio section in Premier Pro. After that, I needed to go to the SFX setting, which would allow me to either turn down or increase the volume of the video. The sfx was turned up in some of the movies to make the film itself seem quieter, which was accomplished by adjusting the dB. Audio correction, on the other hand, is required for other videos. Using this method, you can silence any background noise that isn't required, such as birds or people. This implies you can silence sounds in a clip that aren't needed while still utilising the section you need.
Another step that was needed was to condense some of the video segments. This is comparable to changing the volume for the dB. By compressing the audio, the level of calm parts of the videos will be increased, while those that are excessively loud will be reduced. This implies that when most of the clips have been compressed, the audio will be at the same volume throughout the film, rather than having portions of the video that are quieter and others that are overly loud. As a result, items like voice in the video might become considerably clearer for the audience, improving the film's quality when seen. The audio equalisation is another audio adjuster that was utilized. With this, a bar is utilised that can be modified; the quality of the audio in the video will depend on where it is adjusted; for example, if it is turned higher, the audio quality will sound better; if it is turned lower, the audio quality will not sound as well. The videos can be nested in Premier Pro for editing. This means that instead of having several individual video and audio clips to edit, they may be grouped together, making it much easier to keep track of which clips have been changed and allowing you to apply the same editing to all of them at the same time. This ensured that if there were comparable videos, such as the two at the start, the audio for them could be nested because the same thing had to be done to both of them, which was to reduce the background noise. It means that when editing other movies that may have the same issue, they can be grouped together, making audio editing easier and allowing you to apply the same change to all of them.
