LO4 feedback
We showed the documentary after it was completed, as well as offering the audience a Google Forms-based questionnaire. The survey's goal was to get feedback on the documentary so that we might improve it. Each question was aimed so that we knew what was wrong with the film currently and so that we could change it in the future.
People were asked how they would grade the short film in question one of our survey. The majority of individuals thought the short film was good.
For question two of our survey, many people said that we should have added different camera angles. This would have diversified the shots to make it more engaging with the audience. Another point raised by the audience was that our short film would have benefited from more than one setting, which I agree with.
Many participants said that the genre was adequately represented through the dialogue, as well as the documentary's setting and lighting, in response to question three of the survey.
Finally, the audience was asked how mise en scene represented the genre in question four of the poll. The majority of participants responded similarly to the question above, stating that dialogue and environment were the most significant factors, but lighting was also important.
Improvements
Due to the corona virus and other issues, the documentary's setting was severely limited, and we were unable to film as many shots as we had hoped. Furthermore, I believe that instead of a voice over, the documentary might have benefited from a voice over where there is a lot of text. This would have made it easier for the viewer to absorb the information because listening is easier than reading.Furthermore, the documentary might have benefited from a variety of camera angles so that it did not feel repetitive. This would increase viewer engagement while also making it easy to watch. Another method to improve it would have been to include a video of Beverly Allitt, but we were unable to do so due to there not being one easily accessible on the internet. The
